About the artist

Richard J. Bonomo was raised in and around New York.  He studied zoology, chemistry, history and technical theater at the University of Wisconsin. He did graduate work in biochemistry at New York Medical College and studied painting and other media at Purchase  College, The Silvermine Art Center, and The National Academy School. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy of Art in 2019.   Over the past forty years he has produced significant works in both art and science.  His paintings have appeared in shows in Westchester, New York City, and Connecticut.   He currently lives in Yonkers, New York.

Professional Experience
 1994 - 2012 Principal at Turn-Key Biotechnology, Inc. Designed and built laboratory facilities for biotechnology companies. Played a key role in space planning, interior design, and construction management 

1988 -1994 Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., A founder and Director of Facilities and Operations


1978 -1988 New York Blood Center, Senior Project Manager, Research and Development of new products from blood. Holder of two patents for killing the AIDS virus in blood plasma used for transfusion
